The Education That Built Me, Reimagined

I began my makeup journey as a student at this school when education was fully in person. That experience built my foundation, work ethic, and respect for the craft. Learning in a hands-on classroom environment not only prepared me to step into the industry with confidence and professionalism, but also helped me understand what elements are truly essential when translating a comprehensive makeup education into an effective online program

That foundation still matters, even as the way we teach has evolved..

Honoring Where We Started

In-person education played a vital role in shaping the school’s standards and reputation. The techniques, expectations, and professionalism taught in our program remain at the core of everything we do today. What has changed is how education is delivered, not the quality or integrity behind it.

Industry Changes That Shaped the Shift

In 2025, new licensing laws in certain states are requiring makeup artists to hold cosmetology licenses which has changed how aspiring artists access training. At the same time, we were seeing a growing demand for education from artists outside our state, and even outside the country, who wanted access to our curriculum but couldn’t attend in person due to issues with travel and/or licensing laws. Rather than limit who could learn with us, we chose to evolve.

Why Fully Online Education Was the Right Move

Transitioning to a fully online format allowed us to respond to both regulation and demand - while staying true to the quality that our school is respected for.

Online education allows us to:

• Provide structured learning regardless of location

• Support artists navigating new licensing requirements

• Reach students globally without compromising standards

• Offer flexibility for artists balancing work, school, and life

This shift wasn’t about convenience, it was about accessibility and sustainability.

Learning From Artists Who Are Actively Working

One of the greatest strengths of our online program is our instructors. Every educator teaching in this format is an actively working makeup artist - many of whom are based out of state.

That means students are learning:

• Current techniques being used on real clients

• Industry standards from diverse markets

• Practical insight… not just outdated theory

Coming Full Circle

To move from student to educator within the same school, now in a fully online format, has been deeply meaningful. This evolution honors the school’s roots while responding to the realities of today’s beauty industry.
