Students are well-trained to create that perfect, polished “clean” face; and then take their skills to the next level and apply them to runway, editorial, fashion and events.

The most sought-after makeup artists in the Chicago area are those who are also skilled at hairstyling. The School offers intensive training in both basic and advanced hairstyling techniques.

Successful makeup artists must be familiar with the various eras, as reflected through makeup, hair and fashion. At Make Up First ® School, period makeup is introduced and frequently revisited in order to properly prepare the student for work in the industry.

Students are taught basic theatrical painting, as well as complex special effects, in order to further enhance their careers.
